The Hydroponics As One Revolution to Strike Global Warming

Today on the presence of global warming, the earth gradually loses its power to be mother earth for human and any creatures upon it. Air is polluted, water is contaminated. Many people suffer water shortages, famine and extreme weather condition as consequence of global warming.

What should we do? Just let them contaminated to punish human wrong behavior upon earth? Let's get it off. We should do new thing to refresh, renew earth condition. This starts by reducing big radiance of global warming. We can start greening our earth and we just should start them by greening our home first.

Greening home? How can it be? What about people living in urban space? Space remains little to grow plants. It looks impossible to go gardening. Some hydroponics tools and any required items can be considered to solve your problem about limited space. In a nutshell, hydroponics is a solution for people living in urban area to still be able to consume organic foods and take the fresh breath of air in their own little home.

The question might appear on your mind, how can hydroponics method prevent global warming as one of the biggest challenge people should face nowadays? One tip to fight off global warming is to plant a tree. In hydroponics system, you can't plant trees but you still can grow plants smaller than those. It counts much to throw gardening's party for empowering our earth.

Scramjets, Nasa's X-43, and Mach 9.8: Aviation's Hypersonic Challenge

Almost 60 years ago, the sound barrier was thought impossible to pass. Yet soon after the X-1's success, programs were already in the works to take us beyond Mach 1 and into supersonic flight (Mach 1- Mach 5). However, to cross the next barrier of hypersonic flight (any speed greater than Mach 5), drastic problems would have to be over come in design, propulsion, and construction materials that were currently unavailable. With years of research and testing, these obstacles were finally overcome with the recent success of Mach 9.8 flight achieved in November of 2004. Powered by the Scramjet (Supersonic combustion ramjet), NASA's X-43A test vehicle touched a realm of flight rarely found by air-breathing airplanes, hypersonic flight. With the X-43's amazing thrust potential being produced by an engine that has no compressors or moving parts, scientists and countries alike are intrigued to see how this technology can be applied towards future goals and projects.

Scramjets are not a new idea. Although the most exciting developments and successes have taken place most recently, the concept has been actively pursued since the 1940's. With government supersonic flight programs like the F-80 Shooting Star, Republic XF- 103 and the X-15, valuable information was gained about ramjet/scramjets performance. Their advances in studying hydrocarbon-fueled engines alone have helped scramjet technology to reach its current developmental state.

Scramjet engines are a far departure from the conventional turbine jet engine. Air enters both engines and is compressed. Fuel is added to the compressed air, ignited, and forced out the back of the engines. This is basically the only thing the two engines have in common. However, if hypersonic flight is to be achieved comparisons need to be drawn against this and other a power plants to see why the scramjet is the answer for hypersonic propulsion.

With the successful demonstration of these engines by the United States and other countries, many possibilities are now attainable. From precision guided missiles to Mach 10 flight, and the proposed X-43B, the technology is here to stay. If funding can be secured, new generations of long range bombers, fast-reaction cruise missiles, and a space launch system that could cut the costs associated with propelling astronauts and payload into space to one-hundredth of today's prices, could be realized. Civilization continues to strive for faster and more efficient means of transportation and with scramjet-powered vehicles, the hypersonic barrier now does not seem impossible. With promise, scramjets powered vehicles might one day live up to the aggressive political goals stated by President Reagan in 1986 in regards to the National Aerospace Plane, "To provide travel from New York to Tokyo in two hours." However talk is cheap, and one thing scramjets have definitely proved, low cost scramjet research and development does not exist.

NASA has many scientists who are working on plans to explore more of our universe in the near future. With many advances in the international space station missions, they have learned a great deal of the different workings of space and the mysteries it holds. There are so many mysteries that we have not unraveled yet and NASA is trying their best to come up with new ideas. There are many reasons why it is important to have an updated NASA. What's next for NASA is:

1. Glory- The closest in what's next for NASA. Scheduled for a launch on January 2010, Glory is going to increase our knowledge on the Earth's energy balance. Through aerosol sensing this can be accomplished. When the glory mission is finished, we can better understand the different aerosols that are in space. Finding this out can drastically change the way we view global warming and other harmful disasters.

2. Juno- Like the 1st in the Frontiers Program, the first being to Pluto, NASA is planning to visit Jupiter. The reasoning comes from the mythology of Jupiter and how he would hide himself in a veil of clouds so that he could stir up trouble for people. Jupiter is next on the list to visit in 2011. They plan to reach the planet in 2016. There they will discover what is beneath that layer surrounding Jupiter.



3. WISE- The Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer is what is next in NASA's plans of space exploration. This will give us a lot of information on the solar system, Milky Way, and the universe. The WISE will also study asteroids, stars and galaxies. Through this Explorer, said to launch in November 2009 for 7-13 months, we will learn a little bit more of the different mysteries of the galaxies around us and the different stars that encompass our universe.

NASA has other plans for the future that people can view on their website. There are much advancement in the recent years to allow for such leaps into space. The technology that allows us to do this is reliant on the scientists working on them. With the changing times, there is more need to discover new things to better our planet's natural resources. Without our resources, we don't have a chance of surviving in the future years. It is important to always keep your head in the stars. You can learn so much by looking toward the future.
